I walked inside of the empty restaurant hand in hand with Khi. He was dressed in a Gucci custom-fitted suit with a pair of suede Gucci loafers. This was the nicest I had seen him look in a very long time. Our separation had killed his spirits, which in turn had caused him to no longer give a fuck about the way he looked.

Over the course of a week, we had gotten back together, broken up, and just a couple of days ago, got back together again. It was just a weird and stressful situation. Khi would come to me crying about how he wasn’t gonna fuck up again and how much he loved me, and as soon as I gave in to him and had sex with him, he was flipping the fuck out on me.

A few days ago, he called me an evil, conniving bitch, and told me that, if I ever killed another one of his kids, he was going to take me out the same way he had done Briana. I cried so hard in front of him after he had said it, then he walked away from me like I wasn’t shit only to come back the next day saying that he was drunk and didn’t mean any of it.

I knew that drinking and sipping that damn lean lately had been a big part of Khi’s new everyday life, but I had hoped that he wasn’t gonna make a continuous habit out of it. He complained before about how irrational lean had made Dae and how it was a big part of the reason why the choices he made in the past were so damn foolish. Now, here he was doing the same thing.

He was pressuring and pressuring me to come to the house that he had bought for us before the separation, but we needed to sit down and have a serious talk about everything that was going on. I wanted to be with Khi, work on my marriage, and fix all the problems that we had now so that in the future our union was filled with nothing but bliss, but Khi was really making me mad that I didn’t stick to my guns and just leave this shit alone.

He was different. His attitude wasn’t the same…I mean, Khi had always been dominant, like the alpha male kind of shit, and it was something I had to get used to since Rue was nothing like it. I didn’t mind it one bit, but there was a difference in leading your lady and being flat-out disrespectful. Khi had crossed that line too many times in just this past week alone, and the only reason why I was here with him tonight was because he begged me to come. He said that he needed everyone that he loved to be here tonight, because he had a huge announcement to make.

All I knew is that all week, he’d prohibited me from going to work at my business just so that I could sign all types of paperwork.
